General Rules

No swearing is allowed. This is a site suitable for all ages. If you absolutely must swear, star all letters out.
Out of character, you must be respectful to other players. Rudeness is not tolerated on this site, and can and will lead to being banned. Whether this is permanent or temporary will depend on how serious the rudeness is.
There can be no explicit content on this site regarding mating. If two wolves are going to mate, fade to back. However, with regards to fighting, as long as you don't gross anyone out it's fine.
No spamming boards or pms with advertisements, unless someone asks for the link to a site. There will be a board for advertising- that will be the only place you can advertise on the boards. You may also place a banner or advertisement in your signature.
If any language other than English is used at any point, provide a translation.

Roleplay Rules

No powerplaying or godmodding. Powerplaying is where you play someone else's character or say what happened to them in battle. Godmodding is having an invincible, god-like character. Both spoil roleplaying for others.
Liquid time is allowed- you can roleplay in multiple threads at the same time.
Please try to have at least three sentences in each post, using proper grammar, capitalisation and spelling. I understand a few mistakes, but understand there is such a thing as a spellcheck, which can be found on the internet, if you are unsure of spellings.
In character rudeness is perfectly fine, as long as it doesn't relate to out of character events. Please do not be offended if one character is rude to another- it's not aimed at the roleplayer, after all, and is just a part of the game! If the rudeness does offend you severely, politely ask for it to be toned down, and if that is not possible due to the character's personality, have your character leave the roleplay. Don't start an out of character argument over an in character event.
This site's roleplaying progresses through real-time. That means for every month that passes in real life, a month has passed in the roleplay. Of course, this doesn't apply to individual threads, which will stay on the day they were made unless a night passes in that thread.

Character Rules

Fan-characters are allowed (characters based off of characters from a book, film etc.)
Each character will start out with only one Stone. In the future, they can gain another Stone after passing certain criteria which will be explained in 'Getting A Stone'.
Characters must be accepted before you can roleplay.
Unusual markings in animal form are accepted, within reason- unnatural colours in animal form, however, are not. For example, a shape-shifter with a wolf form can be black with white circles around her eyes, however she cannot be black with blue circles, or red circles. Unnatural eye colours are also not permitted- unless they are using their Stones and the eye colour links to that Stone, of course. However, a shape-shifter may have dyed markings on, as long as it is noted they are dyed and not true markings.
Every character must have at least one flaw. This could be in the personality or in the physical traits of the character, but there must be a flaw. It is preferable there are the same number of flaws as there are strengths.
There is no limit to characters on this site at present, but if I find a large number of inactive characters are turning up, this may change.
Shape-shifters can have a maximum of five animal forms.
None of the characters can be those in the legend. They will only appear in random events.

Activity

For now, we will not have activity checks or deletions of accounts based on inactivity. However if this gets to be a major problem, deletions will occur.
A high position must be active. If they do not post for seven days without any excuse being given, the character will be demoted and a new high position will be chosen.
There is no limit to high positions yet, but if someone takes too many this may change.
